Sang Eun Dawn Lee is an illustrator and designer based in Seoul, Korea.

She is currently working in Edelman Korea as a Supervisor Designer, and majored in illustration at Rhode Island School of Design in 2014.
She focuses on Astronomical Illustration and offers a fresh perspective to the field by anthropomorphizing planets, stars, comets, and asteroids. They possess human feelings and become alive. They feel love, sadness, anger, disappointment, etc. They interact with each other and go on an adventure to outer space.
Dawn wants to tell the world how amazing things are out there without saying it difficult. She would like to educate the future generation and make them familiar with astronomy.
When she is not designing, she loves to sing her heart out.

 

서울에서 활동중인 일러스트레이터 그리고 디자이너, 이상은입니다.

현재 에델만 코리아에서 그래픽 디자이너 과장으로 재직하고 있으며, RISD에서 일러스트레이션을 전공했습니다.

어릴 때 처음 겪은 미국, 불빛마저도 존재하지 않는 황량한 몬타나에 살면서 가졌던 유일한 소일거리는, 매일 밤마다 머리 위로 쏟아지는 별들을 한참이나 지나도록 쳐다보는 것이었습니다. 그때부터 별과 행성을 동경해, 브라운 대학교에서 천문학 입문 수업을 듣게 되었고, 어떻게 하면 많은 사람들이 어렵게 생각하는 천문학을 살아 움직이고 감정을 가진 별과 행성을 통해 접근하기 쉽게 할 수 있을까 고민합니다.
